Page 1: Once upon a time there lived a rabbit and a tortoise in a jungle. The rabbit was a fast runner and he was very proud of his speed. He sometimes boasted in front of the tortoise who was a slow runner.

Page 2: The tortoise got tired of hearing the rabbit’s praise. He decided to challenge the rabbit for a race. Rabbit accepted the challenge happily. He was overconfident about his victory.

Page 3: Now who would be the judge? Bear suggested that Kangaroo should be the judge. Kangaroo agreed to judge the competition. Kangaroo decided that the competition would begin the next day.

Page 4: Next day all the animals gathered to watch the race of the rabbit and the tortoise. Some animals had pity on the tortoise because he could run very slowly. They were quite sure about his defeat.

Page 5: The race started. Both rabbit and tortoise began to run. All the animals watched the race with anxiety. They wondered who would win?

Page 6: The rabbit ran very fast and in no time he covered the half way. He looked back and found the tortoise nowhere. The tortoise ran very slowly that the rabbit left him far behind.

Page 7: The rabbit was confident that the tortoise would take a lot of time to cover the half way. He got tired and decided to take some rest thinking that there was a lot of time to relax. So he lay down to take rest.

Page 8: The rabbit went fast asleep very soon. The tortoise ran and ran at his pace without stopping anywhere. He crossed the rabbit. The rabbit was still sleeping.

Page 9: The tortoise was continuously running. Though he was slow but still he reached the finishing line. All the animals cheered for him.

Page 10: The rabbit woke up after some time. He got worried. He thought the tortoise might have passed him. Again he began to run very fast.

Page 11: The rabbit reached to the finishing line but the tortoise was already there. The tortoise won the race. The rabbit repented that why he went asleep in the middle of the race but it was too late.

The Thirsty Crow

Once upon a time there was a crow. One hot summer afternoon he became very thirsty and flew here and there in search of water. But he couldn’t find water anywhere.

Now he got tired. It was almost impossible for him to fly any more. He decided to take some rest on a tree. He found a tree nearby. He flew to it and settles down on a branch.

After some rest the crow flew again to search some water. Luckily he found a big glass pot near a village. He had some hope of finding water. He flew to the pot.

When he looked into the pot, he found some water in it. He became very happy. He put his peak in the pot to drink water but he couldn’t drink it because the level of the water was quite low. He tried again and again but in vain.

He looked here and there. He found some pebbles nearby. He thought of a plan. He thought, “I should throw some pebbles into the pot. The pebbles will settle down at the bottom of the pot. The level of water will increase and I would be able to drink it.”

He picked one pebble and threw it into the pot. The water rose a bit. So he threw some more pebbles. Water level rose a little more. He continued to throw pebbles until the water level came up.

Now the water level came up enough in the pot for him to drink. He drank the water. Now his thirst got satisfied. He became happy and flew away.

Moral of the story is if someone tries hard, he will definitely find a solution for his problem.

Two Silly Goats – Kids Story – Read Story, Draw Cartoons, Record and Play

Once upon a time there was a broad river in a Jungle and a very narrow bridge was there over it. Only one person can cross that bridge at a time. Animals of the jungle had the understanding that when one animal crossed the bridge the other animal waited.

One day a goat named Michel was crossing that bridge. The weather was nice. He was in a good mood and was singing a song.

As he reached in the middle of the bridge he saw another goat named John started crossing the bridge from the other side.

Soon John reached in the middle of the bridge. Now John and Michel came in front of each other. Michel said, “John we both cannot cross the bridge at the same time. You go back and let me cross first.”

“I would not go back. You go back” Said John. Michel said angrily, “I started first so I would cross the bridge first. You go back.”

They started fighting with each other. Nobody was ready to compromise and let the other pass first.

They both became so busy in fighting with each other that they forgot they were standing on a narrow bridge over a river. They lost their balance.

They both got slipped from the bridge and fell down in the river. Now they realized that if they acted wisely they both could have crossed the river peacefully.

The moral of the story is in adverse conditions we should not lose our temper, keep the calm and act wisely to solve the problem. Then only we can find a way to get rid of the problem.

The Lion and The Mouse

Once upon a time there lived a lion in a jungle. He was the king of jungle. He was very powerful. One day cool breeze was blowing and he was fast asleep outside his den under a tree.

A mouse lived in a hole nearby the lion’s den. He came out of his hole and saw the lion sleeping. He thought to do some mischief with the sleeping lion.

He quietly went near the lion and checked if he is fast asleep or not. The mouse got assured and climbed on the lion’s back and started jumping upon him.

The jumping mouse soon awakened the lion. The lion got very angry when he saw the mouse jumping on his back. The lion held the mouse tight in his huge paws and got ready to eat him.

The mouse got frightened and said, “I am very sorry lion. I will never do this again. Please let me go. I promise I will help you whenever you got in some trouble.

The lion laughed very loud to hear the mouse. Lion said, “Little mouse! I am so powerful and huge and you are so small and week. What help can you do for me?” “OK, let us see what you will do for me” said the lion and released the mouse.

One day a hunter came in the jungle and he threw a net upon the lion to capture him. The lion tied in the net so badly that he was not able to move at all.

After tying the lion hunter went away in search of food. Just then the mouse passed by the lion. He saw the lion tied in a net.

The mouse ran to him and asked what happened. The lion told the whole story very sadly. He said, “In no time the hunter would be back and take me with him.” The mouse felt pity on the lion.

The mouse said’ “don’t worry lion, my teeth are very sharp and I will cut the net in no time and you will be free forever. The mouse started to cut the ropes of the net.

Soon the mouse cut the entire net and made the lion able to get out of it. The lion came out of the net happily and thanked the mouse for his great help. The little mouse was very happy to help the lion.

The mouse was very happy that he kept his promise. The lion again thanked him for his great deed. They became friends after that.

There was a dog that lived in the outskirts of a small village. One day he became very hungry. It was a hot summer afternoon. He was roaming here and there in search of food but he couldn’t find it.

Suddenly he saw a bone lying nearby. He became happy and his mouth got filled with water. He couldn’t resist the temptation.

He hurried to the bone and looked here and there to confirm that no one looked at him. He picked up the bone and went away quietly.

Now he was looking for an isolated place to eat this bone. A narrow bridge over a small lake happened in his way. He began to cross it.

while crossing the bridge he suddenly saw his own reflection in the water. That foolish dog thought that it was other dog that had got a bone in the mouth.

He became greedy. Now he got ready to do anything to get the bone of the other dog. He thought to have a fight with the second dog and to win his bone.

When he opened his mouth to challenge the second dog his bone fell down in the lake and drowned. He tried hard to fetch the bone again but in vain.

Because the foolish dog became greedy and wanted to get the other dogs bone, he lost his own bone. The moral of the story is one should be satisfied with what he has and should not be greedy otherwise he loses whatever he has.
